The deck at my house is approximately 25 years old and needed drastic repairs. I ran across this article and after reading it I thought that you might enjoy this step by step guide for building a simple deck at your abode. By the way it is the summer time and time for do-it-yourself projects.

Recommeded tools for building a deck.

If you have any demolition work that needs to be done having a

reciprocating saw is handy. It makes tearing something up very

easy. Also, you will need a circular saw for cutting your new and replacement lumber.

Make sure you get your measurements right. Mark once you are a pro. Mark twice and

you are a beginner. Mark three times and you are a fool.
